FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Anglers concerned about the crappie population here at Grand Lake O’ the Cherokees in northeast Oklahoma should plan to attend a meeting that has been arranged with the Oklahoma Wildlife Department to discuss this very issue. The meeting will be held at the Grove Community Center, located at Main and Grand Avenues on Tuesday, March 18 at 7:00 p.m.
Some of you may remember that a similar meeting was held last spring in which the Wildlife Department said they would be doing netting in the fall of 2007 to see if they could come up with a reason for the decline in the crappie population. The Department has concluded their study and will be making the results available at this meeting.
The meeting comes about through the efforts of Ivan Martin, Martin Guide Service and is co-sponsored by GrandFishingReport.com and the Grand Lake Association. For more information, call the GLA office at 1-866-LUV-GRAND.
